David's Catering and Events (formerly Catering by Davids), founded in 1991 by David Poritzky, is a full service, owner operated, upscale social caterer, serving fresh, flavorful food in a variety of settings. We cater a broad range of events from elegant weddings, small dinner parties, clambakes, pig roasts, and seasonal corporate events to equestrian shows for 5,000. As a full service caterer, whether your party is in a mansion, an open field, in your home, backyard or on the beach, Catering by David's has the capabilities to meet all of your needs.
Davids' staff is professionals, who not only prepare delicious plentiful food, but present it beautifully. David's Catering and Events has vast experience and expertise in food art and high end social catering and his highly trained team creates well-run, exquisite events that will make your party perfect.
In 2007 Catering by Davids made the transition to Davids Catering and Events. Aggressive moves were made by David to bring his passion for food to the masses. Seasoned professionals were brought on board to expand the catering division into the aggressive New England catering scene.
Starting
Catering By Davids at the age of 19, David built a complete
commercial kitchen on wheels, from scratch, selling gourmet
sandwiches as Davids
World Famous which has grown into two highly successful
restaurants and an expanding corporate catering business.
David is most excited about the introduction of Davids Catering
and Events with its rapidly growing reputation as a creative
and delicious social "boutique caterer".
In addition, summers find his fleet of restaurant service vehicles at some of the leading equestrian jumper shows in the Northeast such as the Vermont Summer Festival, the Boston Jumper Classic in Hamilton, all the way south to the Capital Challenge in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
His newest venture with partner Betsy Maselek, his sister,

an internet business that sends gift packages of fresh chicken
soup throughout the U.S. as an alternative to flowers, candy,
etc.
Our Event Coordinating Specialist Barbara Luzinski has developed her skills as "the person who brings all the pieces together." With a BA in Business Management, Barbara began her culinary career as "Head of Kitchen" at highly acclaimed Tiger Lilly Catering before traveling south to expand her culinary and event coordinating knowledge aboard Luxury Yachts in Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas. Upon returning to New England, Barbara spent a year learning the ins and outs of a high volume specialty baking company by managing at Iggy's Breads of the World.
Barbara brings the perfect balance to the chaotic world of catering providing every one of our customers with the assurance that they are in caring, capable hands, calmly guiding you through the process of hosting an event.
Without question, the Boston area catering scene has just gotten a lot more interesting and competitive with the team that David has assembled at David's Catering and Events. Creating a team of "Boutique Caterers" that specializes in making events and cuisine unique and memorable is a common vision that the three catering powerhouses share and are prepared to bring their vision to this competitive market.
